Joanna and Evelyn spent the week from September 18 to 26, 2004 visiting Phuket Island in Thailand. They spent four nights at the Holiday Inn on Patong Beach and one night on Ko Phi Phi. Exactly three months after their last night, the Amandan tsunami hit. Their hotel was severely damaged and Ko Phi Phi, due to its geography, was virtually wiped out. This blog is provided in response to many requests for information we have received about the impact of the tsunami.
